Popular Skateboarding Magazines

Usually when people think skateboarding they turn to none other but the Thrasher Magazine. Thrasher is generally famous for its hardcore features and gritty edges. The magazine usually presents articles about grunge skateboarders complete with body piercings and body tattoos, displaying their stunts on various play grounds and public streets.

But not all skateboarding magazines are as full of angst as Thrasher. Skateboarding pros actually prefer another title, and this is Transworld, a monthly skateboarder's magazine. The publication targets the more discriminating skateboarders who are looking for the latest buzz in the international skateboarding scene.

With the success that Transworld has attained they have branched out to cover other extreme sports which include snowboarding, BMX, surfing and even off road racing. All of the other titles under Transworld's publications have patterned their magazine format after that of Transworld Skateboarding Magazine.

So what sets Transworld Skateboarding apart from other skateboarding magazines? Transworld presents their articles in a very professional manner. They organize facts in such a way that readers will completely digest the information with accompanying tips which are highly useful and easily absorbed by skateboarding professionals and even other skateboarding enthusiasts.

With other magazines focusing more on the skateboarding fads, spectator shows and related humorous topics, Transworld has maintained the factual and systematic style in its articles. They mostly cater to the more mature and advanced group of skateboarders.

The usual features presented in Transworld include interviews with pro skateboarders and their backgrounds; they never fail to also discuss tips and advise for budding skateboard enthusiasts. The tips they present are highly credible since they are derived from other professional and experienced skateboarders. Transworld makes it a point to discuss as much useful information as possible to be able to help future skate boarders to be familiar with their chosen sport.

Transworld also covers all the major skateboarding events especially the important skateboarding competitions around the globe. The writers ensure that they give a vivid, blow by blow account of the competition that they have witnessed and observed. Focus is given to the turning points in every major competition which has contributed in one way or another to the outcome of the skateboarding events. Impressive new stunts and tricks are always included which were also pulled off by prominent and rising skateboarding stars.

Also featured in the monthly skateboarding magazine are the cutting edge technology employed on the latest skateboarding equipment. Feature articles cover these radical new inventions to hit the frenzied field of skateboarding. The juicy stuff always come from credible sources where often times they come straight from the manufacturers themselves. This will double as their spoilers for upcoming launches of their spanking new products.

Transworld Skateboarding's mission is to continue to support the expansion of the sport by reaching out to the international skateboarding community. This is considered invaluable in keeping the passion for the sport alive and continuously catching the interest of budding skateboarding enthusiasts, even those who are totally new to the sport.
