This is a very wierd situation...?

Ok... me and my friend are really into skating. We're pretty tight too. My friend cares more about his boards than anything else... literally. So about a year ago me and my friend are skating and my other friend was fixing up my board, so I ask to use his... i try to do a trick and as i go to land it, the board slips out from under my feet and under a car which I didn't see coming. The car ran over the skateboard and it was not usable anymore. My friend hasn't been mad at me about it until about 2 weeks ago... now he is demanding money for his wrecked board and his "wrecked computer" which I have never touched. I told him I'm not going to pay him back for it and if that happened to me I would just let it go. He said that either I would cough up the dough for a new Baker skateboard with Thunder trucks and Baker wheels, or he would snap my new board or break my $750 Gibson guitar. And to sum it all up like I said earlier THIS WAS A YEAR AGO. Tell me what i should tell him / or do.
I dont want my parents getting into this and i dont have any freakin money!

Reasons why there should be a skatepark?

For y English homework I have to write an essay on why there should be skateparks
I have 3 reasons
The obvious one- to skateboard, ride bikes etc.
2- a place to socialize , and hang out
3- so place where teens can be instead of wondering around the streets

I've done a paragraph on theforst reason. But i don't know how to write 5 sentences on the other two :/ help please?

I'm not vegan yet (i've been a vegetarian for 2 years), but i share the same views and when i do become fully vegan, i worry about being perfect. I mean, i don't like to wear animals but i just figured out that my DC running/skateboarding shoes are made out of leather. The worst thing to do is throw them out because of this, but i feel very bad wearing them. Or what if i go to a resuturant and realize there's nothing to eat, so i order a salad but i don't know what's in the dressing.. how do i know? Do i just eat/go along with whatever because i'm doing a lot as it is?

Maintaining muscle after an accident?

I hurt my ankle real bad and didnt walk on it for about a year, and im trying to regain the strength i had before i hurt my ankle. With my current work hours i get to skateboard maybe once a week, but it feels like i never progress physically, or never feel the same way as light on my feet as i did before. I can notice a lot of the muscles in my legs are smaller, and arent growing. I feel like im skating how i always have..

How do i get all the strength back and feel like i did prior to hurting my ankle? and maintain it? do i need to skate atleast 2 times a week?

Hey. So, I used to skate when I was 15-16, wasn't that great, but I could ollie and drop in and such. Anyway, I've been riding a longboard around campus for the last year, but lately I've been thinking it might be fun to get a shortboard again, but I'm not sure of what size to get since I'm a bit taller than average. I'm 6'3 and 200 lbs, size 13 mens shoe. I doubt I'll be landing any ridiculous flip tricks any time soon, so I wouldn't mind a wider board, I just don't know anything about board sizing.

Also, I'm not looking to drop a lot of cash since I might go back to the longboard once I get frustrated from sucking at the shortboard. I was looking on CCS and this board is pretty cheap ($60) and the description says something about being designed for beginners. What do you think?

Ideas on teen bedroom?

I'm a 13 year old girl & I'm going to be moving soon & I haven't redecorated my room since I was 7.
I'm getting really tired of my room right now. So, I was hoping maybe you guys can give me some ideas on what I should do with it.
I'm not totally into the theme thing. But, I don't know what to do.
My favorite colors are black, white & red. But I'm really getting into green & blue.
Music is my #1 passion. I know how to play the guitar, the piano, & the drums.
I also love skateboarding & photography. I also have a lot of band posters I haven't used yet.

im thirteen, how high should i ollie on a skateboard at my age? (read second question also please)?

i'm just really trying to get into skateboarding and stick with it, i am getting a little air on ollies and i know exactly how to do it but i just need to know how much air i should get before attempting anything else like kickflips. also, i'm having trouble just like...proccessing it in my mind that i need to slide my foot forward (i am getting a lot better though) but the real problem i think is bending my legs as high as possible to boost the ollie as high as possible, will my mind just eventually automatically tell me to do so or will i have to really concentrate? Sorry, i guess it's actually 2 questions then. =P

Does anyone else ever get up early in the morning to skate? I get up at 5:00am go down my street where their are no houses skate for an hour, then go back shower and go to school. Anyone else do this?

Why do girls think being friends with boys and having boys as best friends is "wierd"?

I just want some opinion:

I read those magazines for teens, like M and Tiger Beat, every so often. One article, from a couple months ago in one of those magazines, was about boys, and how to be friends with them. I got so mad, because I hang out with all boys at school, and my first best friend was a boy. We met in PRESCHOOL. But for some odd reason, girls find it strange to be friends with boys. To some girls, the only way they'll be friends with a boy is if their they're boyfriend. Girls my age think of boys as just "hot", or "cute". Some even get nervous around boys. A boy is human, just like a girl is, and in the article there was a space for the comments from girls online. Most of the comments were like these:

"Boys are gross. All they do is fart, burp and skateboard!"
"Girls are WAAAAY easier to be friends with, 'cause you can't talk about crushes with a boy, and you can't talk make-up, clothes, girls probs, and other girlie stuff with a boy!"
"Girls rock! Boys just sleep and eat. They are so BORING!"

That second one drives me crazy. You can talk anything with a boy, right? As long as you trust that boy. If you can trust a friend that's a girl, you can trust a friend that's a boy. Boys and girls are different in many ways, yet, they are so similar, too.

Please leave your opinion! I don't care; I just want a different perspective of this topic!

sizes on the skateboard truck nut?

hi guys. I don't want to buy the expensive skate tool since I can buy socket wrenches that are cheaper.
question though. what is the size of the nut on the kingpin. I bought a 13 mm socket wrench but it does not fit. help anyone?

i skateboard everyday and i go to the skatepark everday, most of the time i go all day and my mum says im obsessed and its taking over my life
is she over reacting cos i do skate so much
but im 14 and im on summer holiday what should i do?
she has now banned me from skateboarding till i go back to school because she wants me to do other things
is it really that bad that im obsessed with a sport??
